Angel Di Maria has been linked with a loan move to PSG, while Manchester United are looking at PSV's Georginio Wijnaldum as a midfield reinforcement.
Ashley Young is targeting an England recall, according to The Telegraph. I wonder if he'll try for a few weeks like his job depends on it, then go back to mediocrity when he gets back into the squad? His performance against Palace has been weirdly overrated. One good cross, one lucky one, and then an average performance with plenty of wasted chances from the left wing, and everyone is desperate to celebrate it, having not noticed his woeful contributions over the last month.
The Sun have a believable rumour about PSG taking Angel Di Maria on loan. It was obviously the club he wanted to join last season, and a loan allows them to negotiate FFP easier, with payments coming mainly in 2016. There's little point keeping him if he's too grumpy to enjoy himself, but it's easy to think he'll be happier when surrounded by better players at either club next year. Read here.
Chris Smalling is pleased with the character that United showed to battle back to victory against Crystal Palace. You can read about that in The Mirror. There's also a round-up of Manchester United's supposed transfer targets in the paper, including Memphis Depay's team-mate Georginio Wijnaldum, the midfielder.
David De Gea is brilliant. Lots of people agree, including Palace players. That's in The Times.
There's also yet more injuries for Manchester United. Chris Smalling left the pitch with cramp against Palace, so he'll be fine for the game against Arsenal. Van Gaal is also optimistic that Luke Shaw, who got an elbow to the face, and Wayne Rooney, who could not continue into the second half because of a thigh injury, according to ESPNFC they will be back soon too.
