Cars, buses, shops, houses burn in early morning inferno in Lagos

9 cars, 5 buses, many shops and houses were burnt in a fire incident that occurred in Jafojo street along the Lagos-Abeokuta expressway in Iyana-Ipaja, Lagos State early this morning.

According to eyewitnesses, the incident started from one of the houses on the street but quickly spread to other buildings after men of the State Fire Service failed to come quickly to the scene. They even left the scene at some point after they ran out of fire extinguishers and water. Fortunately, no life was lost.
